Career opportunity at IPL group - Dispatch Administrator

IPL group are currently recruiting for the role of Dispatch Administrator for our premises in Drogheda.

This role will undertake the administrative duties associated with dispatch for logistics for our complete range of products in both domestic and export markets. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Staying up to date with local import / export regulations through regular contact with relevant authorities and logistics providers
  • Booking couriers, generating dispatch notes, labels, relevant dispatch paperwork and invoices, in accordance with our operational procedures
  • Using Microsoft office applications and courier systems
  • Assisting in the preparation of goods for domestic and export shipments
  • Liaising with our Sales Department, Production Department, and Stores Supervisors to ensure stocks of arriving materials are organised correctly on arrival to supply the departments when needed
  • Liaising with necessary couriers and delivery drivers daily and booking special courier services in line with our company policies when needed
  • Liaising with sales support team to ensure regular and clear communication regarding customer orders
  • Dealing with customers at trade counter, preparing paperwork for same, taking payments
  • Following up with customers and relaying information on outstanding part deliveries/orders to completion
  • Assisting with stock management systems, adjusting stock levels as required on computer system
  • All additional tasks related to dispatch
  • This role will report directly to our Stores Supervisor/Sales Office Managers FLT license is desired along with experience of Exporting of goods through EU and Worldwide

  • Salary: €28,000 - €31,000
  • Schedule: 8.30-5.30 Mon-Thurs, 8.30-5pm Friday

    A Service Technician position is available within Omni Instruments Limited (The service division of the IPL Group).

    Omni Instruments Limited are currently recruiting for Service Technician to join our Technical Services Team. We have an ongoing need for new technicians, so candidate CVs may be held on file for future vacancies as well.

    The role includes travel island-wide to install, repair and maintain our products

    There are two main categories of product and service technicians, namely Instrumentation and Mechanical. Some individuals have the ability to learn to work servicing both categories. The current position is for a technician on the mechanical side; however, the successful candidate could also end up servicing instrumentation products should they show the ability to do so.

    The main responsibilities and duties of this role are:
  • Install, repair & maintain products sold by IPL group
  • Offer technical support to our dedicated external sales team
  • Liaise with our technical services personnel
  • Receive and process sales orders for products, liaising with warehouse supervisor and on-site engineers around stock availability for ordered items
  • Assist marketing department to prepare technical literature for customers where needed
  • Research and stay up-to-date with new products and innovations in the marketplace
  • Cultivate relationships with existing customers and suppliers to promote business and sales
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • A 3rd Level mechanical background, or previous plumbing/fitting experience
  • A Full clean driving license
  • Be physcially fit (this job requires this)
  • Have good communications skills in order to deal with customers and the public
  • A willingness to spend a lot of time driving for work
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A good level of computer literacy such as Microsoft Office (as compiling written reports is a strong element of the work)
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Previous experience in this field is not a requirement but would be preferential. Omni Instruments will provide all the necessary training to help you perform and grow in your role.
