IPL group (comprised of Innovative Products Ltd & OMNI Instruments Ltd) is a customer-focused, innovative, value-driven organisation. We design, manufacture, and supply infrastructure products, services, and solutions to customers worldwide. Since our establishment in 1975, high-quality innovative products, creative engineered solutions, excellent customer service, and socially responsible business practices have defined our organisation.
Environmental leadership and thoughtful design are key components of IPL group's business operations, products, and services. We are dedicated to finding a balance between economic, social, and environmental considerations. Our reputation for sustainable infrastructure solutions reflects this dedication, and this Environmental Policy expresses our firm commitment to environmental protection. This includes minimising adverse environmental impacts, increasing energy efficiency, preventing pollution, and reducing waste by recycling and reusing materials wherever possible.
Under the leadership of our senior management, Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental control are integrated into an Integrated Management System (IMS). This system is designed to ensure that we identify, understand, and consistently meet customer requirements as well as all applicable statutory and regulatory obligations.
All crucial processes at IPL group operate within our IMS framework and our established Environmental Management System (EMS), which is certified in accordance with the ISO 14001:2015 standard. Our EMS has evolved with our organisation's growth and is based on:
Assessing risks and opportunities;
Implementing and measuring environmental objectives, with a focus on continual improvement;
Promoting sustainable solutions and best practices.
Our EMS applies to our daily activities and is a trusted method for achieving IPL group's strategic environmental goals. This policy is reviewed and updated within this context, and the scope of our certification is aligned with our core business: "design, manufacture, supply and service of infrastructure products for utilities, environmental and industrial sectors."
The Board of Directors, Senior Management, and Staff of IPL group are fully committed to our EMS and this Environmental Policy. We aim to:
Effective Planning: Maintain consistent good planning by management. This involves setting, checking, and updating environmental objectives. We measure the effectiveness of our EMS against legal compliance, customer requirements, external certification reviews, and internal audits, always striving for improved environmental performance to minimise adverse impacts, increase energy efficiency, prevent pollution, reduce waste, and promote recycling and reuse.
Risk-Based Thinking: Implement risk-based thinking and emergency preparedness. We analyse key activities and opportunities, using evidence-based decision-making to ensure all critical processes are established, documented, appropriately resourced, and monitored to meet their intended results.
Stakeholder Relationships: Promote mutually beneficial relationships with all interested parties, including customers and suppliers. This helps us to better understand requirements and interdependent processes that foster sustainable development and improved environmental performance.
Team Competency: Utilise qualified consultation, build our team's competency levels, and support individual expertise and professional experience through effective recruitment, mentoring, personnel training, skill development, and promotion.
Sustainable Design Leadership: Expand on our record of sustainable infrastructure design. All IPL group personnel are responsible for advancing the organisation's strategic objectives while being mindful of the efficient use of materials and energy, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards, as well as legislative, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Policy Application and Review: Ensure our EMS and this policy are applicable to all jurisdictions in which we operate. We will ensure it is communicated, understood, and applied by all relevant parties, reviewed annually, and amended and re-issued as necessary to maintain its relevance and effectiveness.
