Coventry featured proudly as an Olympic co-host city during the London 2012 Games. As part of the upgrade to venue access roads, IPL group’s Retention System™ sockets were used to install EN12767 passively safe traffic signal poles.

These Sapa aluminium poles are fully recyclable and designed with a Ø114mm root suitable for installation in RS115 sockets. They feature low-level access doors for minimal work at height and, when combined with the sockets, promote sustainable design and safe work practices. The RS socket foundations ensure no further excavation is required during pole maintenance and replacement, which reduces costs and simplifies traffic management and on-site work for crews.
