In the Welsh county of Ceredigion, IPL group's Retention System™ sockets were used to install passively safe traffic signal poles. Ceredigion County Council’s improvement objectives included providing a high-quality and safe environment.

As part of their road safety improvement plan, they installed Sapa traffic signal poles which carry an EN12767 passive safe classification. These EN12899-certified aluminium poles have a Ø114mm root, making them suitable for installation in RS115 sockets and enabling easy replacement and renovation of existing traffic signals.
