Carlow town has always faced heavy traffic volumes on its east side with the N80 bringing vehicles from the M9. In order to improve safety for cyclists, Quick-Flex bollards were placed along the cycle path to act as a physical barrier to traffic.
Carlow County Council decided on the Quick-Flex bollard, which is a fully reboundable traffic bollard produced using highly flexible polyurethane injection technology. It returns to its initial form immediately after knockdown and is highly durable and resistant to multiple impacts, making it ideal for busy streets.
