Proper orientation and cable management are essential during the initial placement.

• Position the RS socket in the centre of the prepared hole .
• For cabled installations, connect the ducting from the remote chamber to the swivel bend on the RS socket and tighten the wing bolts .
• Ensure the draw cord is left in the base of the RS socket for future use.

Achieving a vertical level is critical before the concrete cures.

• Rotate the RS socket head into the required orientation .
• Remove the locking lid, loosen the two M16 locking set-screws, and remove the pedestrian plug .
• Insert a stump pole (levelling post) into the socket to achieve a vertical level .
• Fasten the locking set-screws and replace the locking chamber lid .
• Surround the socket with the required amount of concrete, using an ST4 mix or stronger .
• Once the vertical level is confirmed and the concrete is compacted and beginning to cure, carefully remove the stump pole and lock the pedestrian plug back in place.

Once the socket is installed, follow these steps to install a new post or replace a damaged one.

To Install a New Post:

1. Remove the locking lid and loosen the locking set-screws .
2. Remove the pedestrian plug using a screwdriver .
3. Install the new post and tighten it in place using the locking set-screws .
4. Place the plug in the locking chamber, replace the locking lid, and the installation is complete .

To Replace a Damaged Post:

1. Open the locking lid and remove the plug from the locking chamber .
2. Loosen the locking set-screws and remove the damaged post .
3. Replace the damaged post with the plug and tighten it in place using the locking set-screws .
4. Replace the locking lid.
