Challenge
Uisce Éireann was experiencing low water pressure, particularly during peak times. This issue required a precise and efficient solution to avoid extensive manual checks.
Diagnosis
Uisce Éireann used Technolog’s WaterCore pressure logging solution to investigate the problem. The data confirmed the pressure drops and directed engineers to a specific area of the network. The subsequent inspection revealed a stuck air valve was the cause of the issue.
Solution
The faulty valve was replaced with a Hawle 9842K Dynamic air valve, supplied by IPL group. This valve effectively releases trapped air from the pipeline, preventing blockages and maintaining stable pressure.
Outcome
The combined use of Technolog’s WaterCore for accurate diagnosis and the Hawle 9842K air valve for a permanent fix immediately resolved the customer’s low water pressure.
