The Syno2000 Pipe Connector is an optimal choice for mechanical plastic pipe connections, suitable for PE pipes (80/100, EN 12201, DIN 8074) and PVC pipes (EN ISO 1452-2). With over 3 million units installed worldwide since its development in the 1980s, this system requires neither special training nor special tools, only a simple torque wrench for installation. The unique grip ring design ensures pressure is evenly distributed on the pipe, guaranteeing a permanent restraint connection. The Syno2000 can also be used as a sliding connector upon removal of the pipe stop ring. It is specially developed for repairs or expansion of existing networks using plastic pipes, offering easy assembly and disassembly with superior mechanical connection and no welding. Protecting caps of recycled PE or PE foil packing prevent ingress of dirt and dust during storage, complying with EN 12351 and EN 805.

Features & Construction

• Body and lock ring: Ductile iron (EN-GJS-420-15 according to EN 1563), epoxy powder coated inside and outside (min. 250 µm thickness, zero porosity, min. 16 N/mm² adhesion).
• Grip ring: Brass.
• Hexagonal bolts: Stainless steel, minimum quality A4.
• Lip seal ring: Elastomer, EPDM according to EN 681-1.
• Spacer bushes: PE.
• Pipe restraining system.

Technical Specifications

The Syno2000 Pipe Connector adheres to DIN 8076 T1/T3 for restraint. For thin-walled PE pipes (≥ SDR 21) and for vacuum pipelines, the use of a support liner is required. For restraint connection to PE-pipes, a support liner (No. 6035) is required for DN 40-DN400 (equal and higher SDR class 17) and DN 450-600 for all SDR classes.

Installation & Maintenance

• Easy assembly and disassembly.
• The Syno2000 can be used as a sliding connector upon removal of the pipe stop ring (chamfer pipe firstly).
• The pipe restraining system requires pushing the pipe into the seal and chamfer with an appropriate tool.
