Datasheet SIEMENS SITRANS TH200 temperature transmitter
The ultra-flexible SITRANS TH200 transmitter is a 2-wire device for 4 to 20 mA output, designed for mounting in the connection head of temperature sensors. It features a universal input, compatible with virtually any type of temperature sensor, and is configurable via PC.
SITRANS TH200 transmitters are suitable for use across all industrial sectors. Their compact size allows installation in connection heads of type B or larger. The universal input module can connect the following sensors/signal sources:
The output signal is a direct current from 4 to 20 mA, linearised according to the sensor characteristic. Transmitters with "intrinsically safe" type of protection can be installed within potentially explosive atmospheres, meeting the directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) as well as FM and CSA requirements.
The SITRANS TH200 is configured using a PC. A USB or RS 232 modem is connected to the output terminals for this purpose, and the SIPROM T software tool is used to edit the configuration data. Once configured, the data is permanently stored in the non-volatile memory (EEPROM).
Upon correct connection of sensors and power supply, the transmitter outputs a temperature-linear signal, and the diagnostics LED shows a steady green light. In the event of a sensor break, the LED flashes red, while an internal device fault is indicated by a steady red light.
The test sockets allow for the connection of an ammeter at any time for monitoring and plausibility checks, enabling the reading of the output current without interruption or opening the current loop.
