Product Overview

The SIS Multi Underground: Electrical Disconnection System is an electrical disconnection system specifically designed for the isolation of 2 to 4 illuminated columns. Each pole or column is fitted with a small sensor that, in the event of an impact, communicates with the monitor board, triggering complete Low Voltage (LV) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) isolation within 0.2 seconds. The SIS Multi Underground unit is housed within an IP67 enclosure and located on an equipment shelf inside an underground STAKKAbox™ Access Chamber, near the column it is protecting. The system is fully compliant with EN12767:2007 (Electrical Isolation of Passively Safe Structures) and can be used with any type of passively safe column. In areas with frequent high water levels, the unit can be fitted with an optional float switch. A sensor or float switch activation will automatically isolate all voltages to the individual structures and is capable of monitoring up to four columns.

Installation & Maintenance

• SIS Multi Underground unit is located within an underground STAKKAbox™ Access Chamber, near the columns it protects.
• Equipment shelf bolted to chamber for secure mounting.
• Installation is simple to test and prove prior to commissioning.
• Impact sensor provides a means of confirming system operation during commissioning and routine maintenance.
• Units come pre-wired with 5 metres of flex (longer lengths can be supplied).
• Underground units can be supplied with IP68 in-line plugs and sockets.
• Customer-specific requirements such as a transformer or spur supply can also be provided.
