The MULTI/JOINT® 3157 Plus: Wide Range Reduced Flange Adaptor (Restraint) provides a secure, restraint connection between pipes of various nominal diameters and materials, incorporating a flange. This reduced flange adaptor is suitable for all kinds of pipe materials, including ductile iron, PE, PVC, steel, grey cast iron, and asbestos cement. It is suitable for water and gas applications, with NBR gaskets for gas and EPDM for potable water. The body and clamping ring(s) are made of ductile iron (GGG45 EN-GJS-450-10) and coated with RESICOAT epoxy powder for superior corrosion protection. Featuring stainless steel Uni/Fiksers, bolts, nuts, and washers, this adaptor ensures a durable and reliable restraint connection. It allows for an angular deflection of up to 8° per socket during installation, providing flexibility for on-site conditions. Hygiene protection is included for DN50 - DN1025, ensuring the fitting remains clean from production to point of use. For restraint versions on plastic pipes, the use of an insert stiffener is mandatory. It has a minimum insertion depth (ID min) to ensure proper installation.

Features & Construction

• Body and clamping ring(s): Ductile iron GGG45, EN-GJS-450-10.
• Coating: RESICOAT epoxy powder coating, type RT 9000 R4 (meets GSK standards and EN 14901; minimum layer thickness 250 µm; min. 3000 V spark test for zero porosity; min. 16 N/mm² adhesion).
• Gasket: NBR (EN 682, -5°C to +50°C) or EPDM (EN 681-1, 0°C to +50°C).
• Uni/Fiksers: Stainless steel A4 quality (AISI 316).
• Bolts: Stainless steel A2 quality (AISI 304) or A4 quality (AISI 316), PTFE coated.
• Nuts: Stainless steel A2 quality (AISI 304) or A4 quality (AISI 316), galvanised and passivated.
• Washers: Stainless steel A2 quality (AISI 304) or A4 quality (AISI 316).

Installation & Maintenance

• Read the user manual for detailed installation instructions.
• For restraint versions on plastic pipes, the use of an insert stiffener (see accessories) is mandatory. This also applies specifically to MULTI/JOINT DN625 till DN1000 on plastic pipes.
• Fittings are maintenance-free and have a designed life expectancy of 50 years.
• Supplied with hygiene protection to prevent them from being contaminated or damaged, ensuring clean, safe, and durable work.
