The Monicon 4 Channel Gas Monitor is an innovative, cost-effective, wall-mounted unit. It is designed to monitor a range of toxic gases, combustible gases, and oxygen, and is compatible with Monicon's T100 toxic gas detector, CGS500 combustible gas sensor, and the IR100 infrared gas detector. It is also compatible with a wide range of third-party 4-20mA transmitters. The unit is fully user-programmable and features a built-in battery trickle charger circuit.

Key Features and Technology

• Digital Signal Processing (DSP): This technology processes the sensor signal through an advanced analysis program in the microprocessor to significantly reduce false alarms caused by RFI, EMI, humidity changes, pressure changes, vibration, and electrical noise, thereby reducing false alarms.
• Automatic Self-Test: Implements a comprehensive self-test routine, continually monitoring the integrity of the system's electronic circuitry, software, sensor cabling, and sensor signal. Faults are indicated in a user-friendly diagnostic display.
• Mains Power with Backup: The unit is mains powered (230Vac standard, 115Vac optional) and includes changeover circuitry to allow connection of an optional 12V rechargeable battery for uninterrupted operation during a mains power failure.
• User Programmable: The monitor is menu assisted and fully user-programmable for parameters such as alarm setpoints, relay options, range, sensor type, and gas type.
• Outputs and Display: Features individual 4-20mA analogue outputs, individual voltage free relay contacts, and an RS485 communications interface.
• Durability: Sealed to IP65 rating. Complies with EMC standards EN50081 and EN50082.
