The Modubel: Post-top Belisha Beacon is a robust beacon designed for installation on standard tubular beacon posts. It is also highly suitable as a retro-fit solution for replacing existing Belisha beacons or easily adapting to existing amber beacon installations. All Modubel beacons feature long-life LED lighting units operating at 24 Volts AC, which leads to significantly reduced maintenance and improved safety. This beacon is CE certified, operates at low voltage, is recyclable, and designed with an IP 54 rating.

Features & Construction

• Gallery: Made from die cast LM6-M aluminium, acid cleaned, chromate primed and polyester powder coated black (150µm min). Incorporates a stainless steel globe retention pillar and pre-fitted stainless steel shroud fixing points. It is pre-wired with 4 metres of supply cable and an IP56 transformer connector. Features a high performance gasket at the beacon interface. All threads are stainless steel bushed.
• Globe: 335mm diameter, self-coloured, rotationally moulded, UV stabilised low density polyethylene, with a 2.5mm minimum wall thickness. Secured with a stainless steel Tri-head fixing and load. Globe illumination is greater than 300 cd/m².
• Lighting Unit: Features a 3mm aluminium gear tray, polyester powder coated white. Illumination is provided by 12 x 1 watt power LEDs, wired in two strings of 6. The light unit incorporates a constant current driver and mains synchronised flasher control. An alternate cable synchronisation port is also provided.
• Transformer: 230Vac primary, 24Vac secondary @ 2 amps. Fully potted with a vacuum impregnated core, featuring short circuit and thermal protection. Supplied complete with a pre-wired IP56 connector for connection to the supplied drop lead and fixing screws. Dimensions: 90x60x70mm high.
• Shroud: Optional, made from 3mm Black polycarbonate with stainless steel fittings, rated IP54.
