The Midubel: Pedestrian Crossing Beacon is a unique pedestrian crossing beacon designed for fitting to a standard 76mm post. It features an innovative fixing system that allows the post to pass through the centre of the beacon, making it ideal for situations where additional equipment is mounted on the post above the beacon. With full 360° illumination, the Midubel eliminates the need for unsightly bracketry and vulnerable multiple beacon installations. This beacon is CE certified, operates at low voltage, is recyclable, and designed with an IP 56 rating. It incorporates high-quality LED lighting units that operate at 24 Volts AC for significantly reduced maintenance and improved safety.

Features & Construction

• Designed as a mid-post beacon.
• Globe: Two-piece rotationally moulded, high impact polyethylene, 335mm diameter with a vertical split line.
• Brackets:
  • 76mm fixing: Cast LM6M marine grade aluminium with cast-in stainless steel inserts. Primed and finished polyester powder coated black. All fasteners stainless steel.
  • 89/114mm fixing: Fabricated 4mm stainless steel, primed and finished polyester powder coated black. All fasteners stainless steel.
• Light Unit: 2mm aluminium polyester powder coated white. Each beacon half is independently illuminated using high power LEDs with integral driver and mains synchronised flasher control. Wired with 4 metres of cable and an IP56 connector.
• Transformer: 230Vac primary, 24Vac secondary @ 2 amps. Fully potted with a vacuum impregnated core, featuring short circuit and thermal protection. Supplied complete with a pre-wired IP56 connector for connection to the supplied drop lead and fixing screws. Dimensions: 90x60x70mm high.
• Features a synchronisation cable.
