Product Overview

The HAWLE-E1+ Valve is a resilient seated gate valve, designed according to EN 1074-1 and EN 1074-2, featuring a smooth, straight bore. It is a flanged valve with a short face-to-face dimension (EN 558 GR 14). The valve's design incorporates a wedge guide with high glide characteristics and a load-optimised design, ensuring very low wear and closing torques. Its wedge nut is designed to resist high torque loads due to its larger size and more than the required thread length. The spindle bearing is attached in the bonnet by a bayonet connection, and O-rings are mounted on all sides in corrosion-proof material. Friction washers guarantee smooth spindle guiding. This valve is suitable for underground installation and features a duplex stainless steel spindle.

Features & Construction

• Body and bonnet made of ductile iron, epoxy powder coated inside and out.
• Wedge made of ductile iron, fully rubberised with vulcanised elastomer inside and out.
• Wedge guide made of wear-resistant POM.
• Wedge nut made of brass.
• Spindle: Duplex stainless steel with rolled thread and polished O-ring slide faces.
• Spindle Bearing: Made of POM.
• O-ring Bush: Made of brass, attached in bonnet by bayonet connection, anti-rotation, multiple O-ring sealing.
• O-rings: Made of elastomer.
• Bonnet Gasket: Made of elastomer.
• Allen screws are corrosion protected by being encased into the body with an enclosing gasket and wax.
• Covering cap made of PE for dirt protection of the spindle bearing.
• Friction washer made of POM.
