The Defender: Automatic Telescopic Bollard is a high-security bollard that has been rigorously impact tested to ASTM 2656-23 (M50 rating), successfully withstanding a 6,800 kg vehicle at 80 km/h (50 mph). This bollard achieved outstanding results, remaining operational even after being impacted by such a large vehicle. It is hydraulically operated and capable of performing a high number of operations per hour. The Defender can be integrated with existing and additional security measures, offering unrivalled protection globally. Designed for installation on public roads and security-critical applications such as government buildings, airports, tourist areas, and high traffic flow sites, the Defender range provides maximum protection with a sleek aesthetic. It is available in different heights above ground level: 900mm, 1000mm, and 1200mm. The bollard is supplied as standard in galvanised steel and matt black epoxy paint, and includes an RGBW LED crown that functions as a traffic light: green when lowered, flashing red when raised, and solid red when raised.
