Product Overview

The CLA-VAL 94-16: Pressure Reducing Valve, Upstream and Downstream Surge Control is designed to reduce a high pressure (P1), sustain a minimal upstream pressure, and prevent backflow through the valve when a downstream surge pressure occurs (P2 > preset surge pressure). This valve is typically applied to protect pumping equipment and pipes from dangerous pressure surges that occur due to rapidly changing flow rates. As part of the CLA-VAL SERIES 90, it reduces a higher inlet pressure to a constant downstream pressure (Pressure Reducing Control) regardless of changing flow rate and/or varying inlet pressure. It offers simple, reliable, and accurate operation, and functions completely automatically.
