The CLA-VAL 94-01: Pressure Reducing Valve and Downstream Surge Control is designed to reduce a high pressure (P1) and, when a downstream surge pressure occurs (P2 > preset surge pressure), to prevent backflow through the valve. This valve is typically applied to protect pumping equipment and pipes from dangerous pressure surges that result from rapid changes in flow rates. As part of the CLA-VAL SERIES 90, it effectively reduces a higher inlet pressure to a constant downstream pressure (Pressure Reducing Control) regardless of changes in flow rate and/or varying inlet pressure. It offers simple, reliable, and accurate operation, functioning completely automatically.
