It effectively prevents pipeline surges caused by the starting and stopping of pumps, ensuring smooth and safe system operation. This valve's solenoid control gradually opens the valve to prevent pump surge during startup and closes it gradually upon shut-off signal. In case of a power failure, the valve closes fast to protect the pump from dangerous surges. It also features an Auxiliary 3-way Valve that keeps the valve in a closed position when the pump is off, and a Switch Assembly that shuts the pump off when the valve is fully closed.
